Brittany VanFosson, LMSW

LMSW

Brittany is a psychotherapist/LMSW at Southwest Iowa Families. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (where she majored in Social Work and minored in Women’s and Gender Studies), and a Master of Social Work from Boise State University.

As a neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ affirming provider, Brittany has a passion for supporting members of marginalized groups living in rural communities. She prioritizes creating a safe, welcoming space- especially for those who may have felt like “too much” or “not enough” elsewhere. She particularly enjoys working with current and former "theater kids," by helping them channel their creativity, sensitivity, and depth into healing and growth.

In her free time, Brittany loves spending time with her four children (two humans, two cats), playing Dungeons & Dragons, and binge-watching Netflix.
