Sierra Anstey, CFSP
Certified Family Support and Resource Specialist
Sierra joined the Southwest Iowa Families team in 2023, bringing with her six years of experience in the mental health field in various roles. As a Family Support and Resource Specialist for the Positive Family Program, she is dedicated to providing families with the tools, resources, and guidance necessary for their success. Sierra has experience working with both adults and youth, having supported individuals in a residential facility and a crisis stabilization program. She has also worked closely with a youth diagnosed with Down Syndrome and ADHD, assisting him in developing essential life and safety skills while navigating community settings.
Throughout her career, Sierra has gained expertise in de-escalation, crisis stabilization, and the creation of personalized care plans, always prioritizing positive and compassionate support.
Outside of work, Sierra is married with two children and a family dog. The family enjoys spending quality time together, whether through family outings, cozy movie nights, or creative craft projects. She also enjoys cheering on her son in his new sporting activities. Additionally, Sierra is a go-to person for taco recommendations.
Sierra is passionate about her work and continually seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge through training and research. She values family time deeply and is committed to being a positive support to those around her, both at home and in her professional life.
